At Levita, we specialise in the creation of innovative showcases that put objects in levitation for artistic, marketing and commercial purposes. Our cutting-edge and trademarked technology offers a unique way of presenting luxury products, captivating customers' attention and creating an unforgettable sensory experience.
In June 2024, we unveiled our latest 100% Belgian collaboration with Gilles Clavareau for his new retail concept, Eveline, in the Sablon district of Brussels. Here, the alliance between levitation technology and luxury redefines the shopping experience, integrating innovation and creativity at the heart of an emblematic location, the Sablon.
When Gilles approached us to develop the visual concept for his new boutique, our teams immediately began discussing the possibilities for showcasing these exceptional pieces.
As the discussions progressed, the teams decided to integrate 2 bespoke external display cases and one of our Gravity Displays 'The Tube' inside the 'Eveline' store. Thanks to our levitation technology, these timepieces appear to float in the air, irresistibly attracting the eye and sublimating their timeless beauty. This revolutionary presentation offers a captivating visual experience, combining watchmaking tradition and technological innovation, and we are proud of this exclusive Belgian project.
Behind the success of Artisan du Temps and Eveline is Gilles Clavareau, who has been passionate about watchmaking since he was 16. From an early age, Gilles spent his spare time restoring watches in the attic of his family home. His passion and talent soon led him to seize an exceptional opportunity: to open his first boutique dedicated to the purchase and resale of collector's watches, based in Uccle. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, the business was a runaway success, and Artisan du Temps became a benchmark in the world of Belgian luxury watchmaking and beyond. In June 2024, Gilles inaugurated his second boutique in Brussels, Eveline, located in the Sablon district.
This boutique is the result of an idea that has matured over time to offer a unique experience to all watch lovers and collectors. Eveline is more than just a resale boutique for collectors' watches. Gilles Clavareau has ensured that this space is unique, by integrating a bar, tables d'hôtes, workshops open to all, a conference room and a library with a wealth of books on watchmaking. This boutique is a real meeting point for a community of watch lovers, collectors and enthusiasts.
The teams led by Gilles Clavareau chose the Sablon, an emblematic area of the capital that combines history, art and commerce. For decades, the district has welcomed art lovers, collectors and tourists in search of rare and precious pieces. With more than 100 gallery owners offering unique works of art, the Sablon is a veritable goldmine for collectors, and also boasts numerous jewelers such as Wolfers, luxury craftsmen such as Lunetier Ludovic, which makes bespoke eyewear, and artisan chocolatiers with flagships for Pierre Marcolini, Neuhaus and the famous Belgian Maison Wittamer.
Beyond its roots in the creative world, the Sablon also has an aristocratic and royal heritage, thanks to its proximity to the Royal Palace of Brussels and the church of Notre-Dame du Sablon, a magnificent 15th-century Gothic church where noble and royal families had their private chapels and celebrated important masses.
This collaboration between Levita and the team behind 'Eveline' not only combines watchmaking craftsmanship with modern technology, but also reinvents the way luxury is experienced. Right in the heart of the Sablon, the boutique offers a unique immersive experience, where timepieces seem to defy the laws of gravity. Thanks to the creative audacity of Gilles Clavareau and the innovation of Levita, this entirely Belgian project propels watchmaking into a new dimension, where tradition and innovation float in perfect harmony.
